Lecture - "Settler Colonial Studies, Terminations of Colonialism, and Ethnonationalism An Edward Saidian consideration?"

April 2nd | 6:10 PM | 207 Knox Hall

Recent years have seen the framework of settler colonialism gain hegemonic explanatory prominence in efforts to elucidate the Palestine/ Israel trajectory. Join Moshe Behar (PhD, Columbia University, 2001) as he revisits Edward Said's thesis on Palestine/Israel, placing it in dialogue with the schools of thought that crystallized following Said's untimely passing in 2003. Moshe Behar is Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester, UK.
