Aryeh, CIRCA, Global Brigades and CU AMSA, will be hosting Yotam Polizer from IsraAID, a non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian aid agency based in Israel that engages in emergency relief missions all over the world. In particular, he will be speaking about the work that IsraAID is doing with Syrian refugees in Greece, Serbia and Croatia, helping them get onto shore, and providing them with medical and psychological treatment, as well as food, clothing, and other essentials. Yotam is the Global Partnerships Directer and Psychological and Social Support Coordinator for Israel and has also been involved in organizing missions to Haiti, Nepal, and Sierra Leone.

IsraAID is also looking for volunteers to participate in their missions, and in particular for this mission, students learning Arabic who can assist in communication with the refugees and students with an EMT or psychology background who can assist with treatment. This is a great opportunity for students to important work and really have a real impact on this devastating crisis. Yotam will be discussing the various volunteer opportunities more at the event.

This event is co-sponsored by J Street CUColumbia Global BrigadesCIRCA, and the AMSA CU Global Health Committee.
